I’m thrilled to gather with everyone on June 22, 2024 to celebrate the “birth-day” of the Dynamic Journey Sanctuary. As a Death Doula, I’m especially eager to meet and engage in meaningful discussions about a topic that is so often shrouded in fear and discomfort – death and the dying process.

Death is a natural and inevitable part of the human experience, yet in our modern Western society, we’ve grown increasingly disconnected from this profound transition. The Dynamic Journey Sanctuary aims to change that, providing a sacred space for open and honest dialogue about mortality, end-of-life care, and the profound spiritual and emotional dimensions of the death journey.

As a Death Doula, I’ve had the honour of supporting many individuals and families through this most vulnerable and transformative time. I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of embracing death with compassion, mindfulness and a reverence for the mysteries that lie beyond. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience, and to learning from the diverse perspectives and stories that each visitor brings. Together, we’ll explore the myriad ways that conscious engagement with death can actually enhance our capacity to live fully, to cultivate deeper self-awareness, and to find meaning, purpose and peace, both in life and in the face of our inevitable mortality.

This inaugural “birth-day” celebration marks an exciting new chapter in the Dynamic Journey Sanctuary’s mission to normalize death, empower the dying, and foster a more death-literate society.
