Funeral & Rites of Passage Celebrant

Memorials and Celebrations of Life Created with Heart and Soul

It all starts with an open heart, an open mind and a fresh, blank piece of paper.

Saying goodbye to a loved one is an incredibly meaningful, and intimate event. It is important that you are able to commemorate their life in a way that feels right; a way that honours the beautiful life they led. Recieve heart centred guidance for you and your family to create a sacred event that is dignified, and carried out with the highest level of support and care. The end of a unique life, the loss of a loved person, the crossing of a threshold and their final rite of passage. In fact, this quite possibly may be your biggest, most loving single tribute to them.

A Celebration of Life is the wonderful way to honour an individual and it gives families the freedom to choose what is meaningful and appropriate for them and their loved one. Janet will help you plan the ceremony and officiate when that time comes. She offers you guidance and coaching with reference to music choices, poetry, religious / spiritual components (if needed), life tributes (eulogies) and will develop a program for the day that includes all these important elements as well as some messages of hope and recovery from grief. Janet’s tender youthful spirit , gentle and real-life approach will make that special day a day of love, comfort, tears, smiles and gratitude.

For those looking for a more personalised approach – and one that may not include any references to a specific faith – a celebrant-led funeral offers a special alternative. With a funeral celebrant, you can expect a ceremony centred around a humanistic perspective. You will also be given the opportunity to bring your own – or the deceased person’s – beliefs to the forefront of the funeral.

Imagine a singular event – a ‘one-off’ ceremony created with thoughtfulness and care, weaving together the colourful strands of their life to express their true nature, while giving voice to the loss felt by the community of all those who knew and loved them.

Pre-Plan your own Celebration of Life

With the support of an experienced Funeral & Rites of Passsage Celebrant, you can work together to pre-plan a funeral or celebration of life that works for you and is right for your circumstances. Your loved ones may wonder what you would have wanted, but leaving detailed and prescriptive instructions, is a gift left behind. In most cases, you don’t need to plan every detail, but an outline of the kind of thing you’d like for your funeral can be very helpful. We will talk through your circumstances and the kind of funeral or celebration of life you’d like to have before offering some suggestions and help you to put together a plan. To pre-plan can be considered as a gift to your loved ones left behind.
